Universities and the new enterprise landscape in the North West

On 3rd April over 100 delegates were present when the Centre for Enterprise at MMU kickstarted a debate on how universities can respond to the new and ongoing changes within business support enterprise landscape in the North West

With excellent keynote addresses from Professor Henry Etzkowitz, Professor of Management of Innovation at Newcastle University Business School and Tim Sheward, Head of Enterprise at the North West Regional Development Agency and updates from MMU's Centre for Enterprise, delegates explored a number of business support themes during the day.

Issues such as engaging students and graduates in the enterprise agenda, working out the role of universities in delivering higher skills and how we can use research going on within the region's universities to assist in policy development and practical assistance.
