Women Entrepreneurs Offered Free E-Learning with ELFE
In a multi-national project with partners across Europe, the Centre for Enterprise (CfE) at MMU Business School is offering female entrepreneurs a free, accessible, female-specific learning course called ELFE - Learning for Female Entrepreneurs.ELFE supports women who want to set up a business on their own, by offering an online step-by-step guide to help turn their business idea into a success.
With information on such subjects as creating the right business plan, presenting yourself to potential investors, and securing your business long-term, ELFE also contains many useful and detailed case studies on businesses set up by women.
Co-ordinating the project for the Centre for Enterprise is Bo Zhang, who explains: “Women who start their own business are every bit as successful as men, but often a different, more low-risk approach is needed. Traditionally, women have had a lot less access to help, and we aim to put that right.”
Bo continues: “There has been a lot of work on this project – from ourselves and European partners, and we hope it will enhance the potential of all participants by giving them detailed information, developing their skills, and showing what can be done, whatever obstacles they may have to overcome.”
