Research Fellow at the Centre for Enterprise

Background

Enroled as mature student in 1995 for Diploma of Higher Education, transferred to degree course 1996. BA Hons(1st class): ‘Information Technology in Society’, MMU 1998. MSC: ‘Technological Change and Industrial Strategy’, The University of Manchester 2000. PhD: Thesis title ‘The Social Construction of Orphan Drugs: Innovation Through Knowledge Networks’ MMU 2005.

Research

Research interests include strategy and innovation (especially Mode 2 knowledge production) and organisational learning (especially communities of practice). Other interests include biomedical innovations, technological change, civil society and venture philanthropy.
