Celebrating and Sharing Leadership and Management in the Financial and Professional Service Sector.

As a culmination to the Leadership and Management programme, the Centre for Enterprise is holding the Leap into Leadership Event for all the leaders and managers of the 85 Small and Medium Sized Enterprises who took part on the programme. At the event the winners of our Leading Edge Awards will be announced.

Leading Edge Awards
 
The purpose of the Awards is to celebrate YOU, the Participants, who have taken part on our Leading Edge Leadership and Management development programme.

Aims of the Awards

  4. Recognise your progress in leadership and management
  5. Highlight innovative leadership and management practice
  6. Celebrate your leadership and management development

How to Enter

  • Reflect on what you have learned about you and your business from participating on the Leading Edge programme.  Focus on how you have applied your learning to your everyday leadership and management practice. To help you here is an Example Entry
  • Pick a category.  You can enter as many categories as you wish
  • Complete the on line entry form and submit by Friday 22 February 2008

9.30      Welcome & Introductions  - Dr Clare Schofield

Clare Schofield is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Enterprise and she is the Senior Business Analyst on the Leadership & Management Project.

9.45      Inspiration for Leadership  - Dr Sophie Kain
Sophie Kain was famously told ‘you’re fired’ on The Apprentice and went on to establish her own successful business. Her talk will be on the topic of Inspiration for Innovation.

10.45    Session Break

11.00    Entrepreneurial Leadership - Professor Ossie Jones
Ossie Jones is Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and is Director of the Centre for Enterprise. His presentation will be on an emerging field known as Entrepreneurial Leadership.

12.00     The Leading Edge Awards -  is an opportunity to celebrate the leadership and management development of everyone who has taken part on the programme. We have invited all the participating leaders and managers on the programme to submit their entries on line www.business.mmu.ac.uk/centreforenterprise/LMFPS/leadingedge/awards.php
Awards will be presented to the winners.
