The Centre has developed a number of leadership programmes and initiatives, please see LEAD for further information on this.   The Centre supports the programmes by innovative research into different aspects of leadership.

Gender and Leadership

Research into this area has defined the numbers of women directors in 2.3 million UK companies, and recently in regional public sector organisations.  Continuing research includes developing understanding of female majority and female only boards of directors.

Drama and Leadership

This work sees leadership as a performance in the way it is enacted in organisations and in the way, it can be learned, developed and practised. At its core drama and leadership is concerned with developing creative and divergent thinking to uncover new thinking and leadership skills.  This is a new area of research for the centre and interested parties are invited to contact Linda Matthews to help shape studies in this area.
