As a project administrator, Afia has a varied role. She works closely on the ESF Project, which focuses on developing the employability skills of students and graduates by working with MMU's careers service.

Afia completed a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies in 2009 at Manchester Metropolitan University. She continued on to working at a consultancy company, which provided advice and guidance to start up companies. Before joining the CfE, Afia has worked at MMU’s Business Incubator, providing support to graduate and start up businesses.
