Bill Greenhalgh manages the Centre for Enterprises contribution to the TACTICS cluster policy project.
TACTICS, funded by the European Commission (DG Enterprise), has six themes:
• Cluster Internationalisation (led by Bill)
• Channelling R&D/Innovation funding through clusters
• Cluster marketing and branding • Clusters in emerging industries/innovative services
• Evaluating cluster policy
• User-driven clusters
TACTICS manages the European Cluster Alliance network of policy makers and works with the European Cluster Excellence Initiative and the European Cluster Observatory. TACTICS has six other partners: Oséo (France - lead partner), VINNOVA (Sweden), IWT (Belgium), PAED (Poland), TMG (Austria) and Veneto Innovazione (Italy). Bill was the Northwest Regional Development Agency Cluster Strategy Manager, working on cluster development since March 2000.
